Tara Davis: From Injured Transfer Athlete to Olympic Medalist Tara Davis: From Injured Transfer Athlete to Olympic Medalist

22-year-old Country girl, , didn't have a promised Olympic ticket, especially coming off an injury and a competition block from her former University. Davis' jumping career continued at the University of Texas in her home state. Putting up record-breaking results, she was blocked from competing by her former coach because of her decision to transfer, a horror story for any transfer student, which forced her to sit out for a year of competition. Just as she was jumping back into action, she broke her foot 3 months before the global pandemic shook the athletic world.

You might think these events would deter her from coming back, but proved everyone wrong with her comeback . She came back in style, breaking the indoor collegiate long jump record and securing a spot on the Olympic team, scheduled to compete in 2021,  placing 6th in Tokyo, a dream that she never thought was possible a year before. Tara Davis, now graduated from the ,  is now living her dream as a professional athlete for Champion athletic apparel and an official Olympian.
