There's a bad moon rising for PAC-12 teams outside of Salt Lake City.
University of Utah quarterback Cameron Rising was recently crowned Offensive Player of the Week for the PAC-12 and named to the Manning Award Stars of the Week. These accolades are the cherry on top of being named a Davey O'Brien Great 8 performer after his dynamite game against USC, in which Rising threw for more than 415 yards, ran in three touchdowns, and landed a 2-point conversion that put the Utes ahead 43 to 42 with 48 seconds left on the clock. USC's offense fought until the end, but their efforts were no match for Rising and the Utes, who came out on top.

Since the junior all-star has joined the Utah football program, Rising has become the heart and soul of the team. While the Utes still have a long road ahead of them to claim the PAC-12 title, Rising has the potential to lead his team all the way there.
