NCAA Investigating University of Tennessee Football
The University of Tennessee has recently come under pressure from the NCAA due to possible NIL recruiting violations. In March of 2022, The Athletic reported that “a five-star recruit in the Class of 2023 signed an agreement with a school's NIL collective that could pay him more than $8 million by the end of his junior year of college.” This athlete was later identified as Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava. A week and a half later, Iamaleava committed to Tennessee.
Tennessee has not reportedly received any notice of allegations from the NCAA yet, but this will be a story to look out for!
