It's not easy being a college athlete–just ask LSU volleyball player, Jill Bohnet! Thankfully, she slowed down just enough to fill us in on what it takes to thrive in college sports. Here's her daily grind:
6 am: Most mornings I wake up at 6 and start my hour long morning routine. I make coffee, journal, read my bible then get ready for the day. I enjoy having a long morning routine to prepare both mentally and physically for my day.
7:30am-8:30am: Every weekday I have a class from 7:30-8:30. I drive to campus then have class.
8:30am-9:00am: This is when I get some breakfast! This varies from a protein bar to a meal on campus depending on the day!

9:00am-12:00pm: Since each day I have a little bit of a different class schedule, I'm either in class or working on homework during this time. I try to be super productive before workouts so that my evening can be less stressful and so that I have time to hang out with friends.
12:00pm-1:00pm: Around noon each day I grab lunch and then head to the locker room to prepare for practice and workouts.
1:00pm-4:00pm: Everyday from about 1-4 I have practice then a workout. We would work with coaches and our team for about 3 hours each day.

After 4:00pm: After every workout we have some sort of therapy or recovery. Whether is be an ice bath or stretching regimen we would work with the athletic trainers after each workout.
Evenings: During the evenings it varies. Most of the time I do homework or study, and some nights I have time to hang out with friends. Being productive during the day is the key to a free evening.
