Charlie Dickerson is a sports communication major who is a junior and team captain of the soccer team at Division I Bradley University after transferring from NJCAA Jefferson College. A defender from Norwich, England, here is what an average day looks like for Charlie during the spring semester.
7 AM – Wake Up
Charlie's morning routine consists of waking up at 7 AM sharp before stretching prior to breakfast. He also likes to dedicate some time to reading while eating breakfast.
9 AM – Class #1
The first class of the day is Sports Media Society.
10 AM – Team Weights
Since it's the offseason, there is a strong focus on weights. Charlie and his teammates are put through their paces by the strength and conditioning coaches.
11:30 AM – Lunch
After the workout, it is time to refuel and recover by eating lunch and chilling out at his apartment before the next activity.
12:30 PM – Class #2
Back to work for Charlie as he heads to his Ethics in Sports class.
3:30 PM – Team Practice
It's late afternoon practice for Charlie, which typically consists of various technical drills and some tactical work to help the team prepare for the upcoming spring scrimmages.
6 PM – Dinner
After a grueling day, Charlie refuels by making himself a nutritious meal, usually consisting of chicken and a simple carb such as pasta or rice.
7 PM – Homework
No time to rest! The long day isn't over yet. Charlie now turns his attention towards his studies.
8 PM – Free Time
After an action-packed day, Charlie likes to rewind by watching a movie or a TV series on Netflix.
10 PM – Bedtime
Charlie ensures he is in bed early to recover effectively for the following day.
