Caleb Love came out of Christian Brothers in St. Louis, where he was coached by Jayson Tatum's father. The five-star recruit committed to North Carolina and found playing time immediately.

The now-third year player has been spectacular. This past , he won a barrage of awards, including All-Final Four and All-East Regional honors, an All-ACC honorable mention, and UNC's Co-Most Improved Player (the Danny Green Award). He also joined a list of sophomores to score over 600 points in a season which includes the likes of legends such as . Love went from 10.5 ppg as a freshman, to a five point increase at 15.9 his sophomore year. One step further, Love led all players, tied with for scoring in the yearly tournament, with 18.8 points per game. His three highest scoring affairs actually took place in the tournament, with 30 points vs. UCLA, 28 vs. , and 23 vs. Marquette.

No doubt, Love is a special talent. He had the choice to go pro this offseason, but something tells me that the National Championship Defeat to Kansas is still on his mind, with his last second shot to tie the game coming up short. If that is so, Love and the Tar Heels will look to exact their revenge this year, as they begin the season ranked 1st in the AP Preseason Rankings, according to ESPN. No doubt, Love will be a player to keep an eye on as he looks to even further increase his already favorable draft stock in his junior season.
