has been coaching at since 2018 where she's led her team to the postseason in her second and has racked up a  49-31 record so far. Here's her advice to recruits looking to make it to the next level:

What is the most important quality you look for in a recruit?

Attitude–I want competitors that respect the game. They are great teammates and always give 100% effort no matter what they are doing.

What is the best way for a recruit to get on your radar?

Email me or if I just happen to be watching your game, be the best one on the field. Find a way for me to notice you even if you don't get a ball hit to you by the way you carry yourself, your hustle and your communication/leadership qualities.

When should an athlete contact you, and what is the best way?

Some time before their junior year summer but really whenever they are ready to start taking the process seriously (not their parents or coaches). I prefer email.

What are your expectations for incoming players in the classroom, in the weight room, and on the field?

I expect them to be the best they can be in all aspects. They should dedicate themselves to being great in everything they do which includes getting good grades, being in the weightroom 3 times a week, and doing something training wise every day.

What are the do's and don'ts of being recruited?

Do: Ask questions, be respectful of a coach's time, be open and honest in the process. Find the right fit for YOU and visit as many campuses as you are able to.

Don't: Have your parents email me/call me to tell me that you are interested, send the same email over and over with no new or personalized info, email me from a recruiting service (I can tell), or tell us that we are your top choice when you haven't talked to us or seen the campus.

What is the best advice you can offer a recruit?

Figure out what you like and be open to the fact that it might not be what you thought it would be. Ultimately you want to find a school that you will flourish at and be happy – that is important for your academic and athletic success overall.

What really jumps out to you when reviewing a recruit's highlight tape?

If they walk in between reps/are slow moving in general [that's] bad. If they have the fundamentals that I could work with or spark my interest enough to go see them play live [that's good]. I do not make offers based on videos.

What are the main do's and don'ts for a recruit's highlight tape?

Do: Keep it short, show your strengths (I don't need to see you play shortstop if you are an outfielder).

Don't: Walk, show lazy tendencies, and make it longer than 2 mins.

What advice do you have for recruits who get turned down by their dream schools? What are their options if they don't gain the recruiting attention they desire?

Think about the reasons why it was their dream school and try to find those traits in other schools. Things always happen for a reason and sometimes trying to force something will ultimately lead to you being unhappy because you didn't really do your research. Ultimately if you are a good student who wants to play athletics at the collegiate level there are always options. Many coaches like having talented walk-ons so pick your favorite schools and apply and then talk to the coach about tryouts or walk on opportunities.

How big a factor is social media when recruiting players? What advice do you have for athletes regarding social media?

I always attempt to check the of my recruits before making any kind of offer. There have been numerous times that a social media account has caused me to move on from a recruit. Keep it clean, be mature and be positive. I don't want a recruit that spends all day complaining on social media.
