Ruben Beltran is a junior quarterback at Drake University who is majoring in Health Sciences: Clinical and Applied. He began his college career at Montana State University before going to Snow College to play at the JUCO level. From there he found his way to Drake University in Iowa. Ruben is a great example of someone who left their university to play junior college level and still found their way back to playing Division 1 sports.

This season could be a breakout year for Beltran, who is a great example of perseverance and never settling for less than what you want. He also shows that there's talent at all levels of college sports. So if you're bummed about missing out on a D1 scholarship, remember that you can always level up–even in college.
