Come back every Monday for Coaching Staff's Advice on the college recruiting process, what they look for in athletes, and what to expect as a college athlete.
Appalachian State's football program might have grabbed national attention by defeating top-25 powerhouses this past fall, but they're far from the Mountaineers's only successful team. Heather Brown, head women's golf coach at App State, has led her athletes to post a top-10 seasonal team average in school history for each of the last six years. Not only that, but her Mountaineer golfers have received a Public Recognition Award for their academics in the last seven seasons. Coach Brown is looking for well-rounded athletes–here's how you can make it onto her squad.
