Who Is Malcolm Whitfield? Who Is Malcolm Whitfield?

is a sophomore on the team at Tufts University. Originally from Dedham, Massachusetts, The catcher and outfielder is only in his second with the Jumbos, but he is already showing promise. 

During his freshman season, Whitfield helped Tufts to a championship after defeating Middlebury College 8-4 and 12-1. They also claimed a berth in the NCAA Tournament. In the NCAA Tournament, the Jumbos lost their first game to Mitchell College by one point, and their second to Husson University by three points. It was certainly a tough stop to their impressive season, but the Jumbos still have a lot of firepower left. 

In the 2024 season, Tufts has started off with a bang, winning their season opener against Brandeis University with a convincing score of 26-5. Whitfield started the game and had four at-bats and three hits, for a .750 batting average to kick off the season. He also stole two bases and maintained a 100% fielding percentage. 

Malcolm Whitfield and the Jumbos will be the ones to watch this season, with their next games occurring at home against Eastern Connecticut State University at 12 pm and 2:30 pm. Make sure to tune in!
