The college recruiting process is a very stressful time for student athletes, but making the decision is even harder. As a student-athlete, you have to consider the coaches and the professors. Coaches tend to put their best face on for recruits and often don't show their true selves. LRT sports offers college coach ratings from current and past players to give you a better look at the coach and help you approach your college decision. Athletes can use our ratings system to make more informed decisions about where they commit. You don't want to end up with your own Recruiting Horror Story!

How do the ratings work?

The ultimate goal of the coach ratings is to give athletes a clear image of their future for the next 4-5 years. Current and former athletes that have played for this head coach have the ability to rate their coach in seven categories including accessibility, coolness, directness, honesty, intensity, knowledgeability, and ability to motivate. Along with the ratings on a scale of 1 to 5, the athletes can share anonymously written on the coach.

How can the ratings help me with decision making?

Recruiting is like a job interview. The same way that you, the athlete, are trying to impress the coach, the coach is doing the same to you. During the process, it is easy to see the best in the coach and program because you're more focused on the opportunity. Unfortunately, what a coach portrays to a recruit is not always genuine, so the ratings help you get the full picture.

Each athlete has a unique set of needs that their schools should fulfil. For some, this is an intense and motivating coach. For others, it's a cool and supportive coach. Finding the best fit is a long process, so having these reviews will allow you to make a more informed decision.
