The University of Tampa (SSC champion), Saint Leo University, and Nova Southeastern University all played in the NCAA tournament. Nova Southeastern made it all the way to the DII , but couldn't make it out of their bracket.

The LSC had 7 teams appear at the NCAA tournament. The University of Texas at Tyler (LSC champion), West Texas A&M University, Oklahoma Christian University, Lubbock Christian University, St. Mary's University, Cameron University, and St. Edward's University all earned bids. UT Tyler advanced to the DII World Series but lost to the eventual national champions.

4. Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC):

Spanning across the northern states, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) encapsulates the spirit of camaraderie and athletic excellence in Division II softball.
