Headed to a showcase soon and don't know what to bring along? Don't worry! We've listed four things you should be sure you don't leave at home for your next college showcase.
Appropriate gear (and food!)
You never know what facilities you may be asked to play on or what may happen with the weather at showcases so be sure to bring gear for all conditions. This also applies to proper sustenance. Make sure you bring enough water and food to get you through the day. Bringing snacks for between sessions can give you extra fuel for the showcase, especially if it takes up the whole day with few breaks.

Confidence
Remember, you're there to showcase your talents and earn the opportunity to play at the higher level, so make sure to play with confidence and assuredness. Show off your skills and do your very best in everything you do! Be confident in who you are as well and show your personality while playing and when interacting with others. Coaches aren't just looking for a player. They're looking for well-rounded people and good teammates (if that applies to your sport, of course), so don't be afraid to let your personality shine through and be confident in you.
Competitive attitude
Showcases are places to not only show off your skills, but also a place to compete with other athletes in your sport. So don't leave your competitive edge at home! Don't be afraid to challenge others and their skills, because they will be sure to do the same for you which gives you a chance to either show your skills or improve.

Questions
There may be moments during the showcase where a Q&A session is organized or where you feel you can ask a coach a specific question about recruiting or their school. In order to best prepare for these types of situations, it's important to think of what questions you may have for coaches or about the recruiting process in general before you show up at the showcase. Have your questions prepared beforehand so you aren't put on the spot at a showcase, or you aren't leaving with your questions unanswered!
Remember, showcases are your time to shine. Be sure to come prepared to show off!
