“I believe in hard work, and I believe in doing things the right way.”
– Andy Reid
LVIII Super Bowl Champion Andy Reid has been the head coach for the Kansas City Chiefs for 11 seasons and has been a coach in the NFL for 25 seasons. Reid is the oldest active coach in the NFL, at 65, and is the only coach in history to win 100 or more games with two different teams, the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
With the Chiefs, Reid has led his team to eight straight division titles, four Super Bowl appearances in the last five years, and three Super Bowl championships.
Andy Reid's coaching career began in college. Reid played for the football team at Brigham Young University, where he later accepted a graduate assistant position for the team. He then went on to coach other college teams, including San Francisco State University, Northern Arizona University, University of Texas El Paso, and the University of Missouri. Finally, in 1992, Reid was hired as a tight end and assistant offensive line coach by the Green Bay Packers.
With an overall NFL coaching record of 259-144-1, Andy Reid ranks fourth all-time in regular season wins.
With his impressive resume, Andy Reid obviously knows how to do things the right way. In sports, you could do something one thousand times, but if you don't do it right you won't get anything done. The best thing you can do is practice things with the correct form, effort, and technique, and you will find yourself in a great position.
