As a college athlete, your schedule is jam-packed with your classes, sport, homework, internships, and jobs. It can be hard to keep up with it all, and very rarely can you find time for yourself!
Even though it's difficult to find this time, it's necessary. Now, I know what you're thinking: why would I want to add something else to my schedule? But having time for yourself to reflect, think, and focus on something not including your sport and class can make an impact on how you go through your day.
All it takes is 30 minutes of mindfulness to change how you are taking on your day, dealing with stress, and managing your time. This can be through reading, meditating, or doing something creative. At the end of the day, you will thank yourself for having a consistent routine that betters you mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Check out the video above for a guided meditation that you can make a part of your “you”tine today!
