is a senior lacrosse player at Morehouse College. He is also a business administration major and is involved in other things on campus such as the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), Scholars of Finance, and Morehouse's Business Association. Today, Floyd took us along during his busy day as a student-athlete at !

6:30 am: Workout/team practice

Our team is currently in fall ball. Despite practices not being daily, that has not stopped me from getting work on the field. On Monday I separate my reps; one where I'm in the gym, and the other field reps. This not only helps continue to get me better but also improves my physicality as a result.

8:30 am: Meditation

As much as the physical reps are key, so are the mental ones. I look forward to starting my days with gratitude/appreciation. This can come in a variety of ways. Usually, I go the meditation route. Headspace has been great in allowing me to gain the necessary perspective/clarity for the week.

9:00 am: Breakfast

Being able to have a balanced diet truly is great for overall digestive health/energy focus. A scrambled omelet with spinach and raspberries on the side is my go-to. Consuming berries in the form of smoothies for a pre/post also is great, a convenient snack.

10:00 am: Class (Mass Media Law)

This class revolves around media law strategies and how they have been utilized in the public eye. As a business major, there is a certain delegation for how you have to represent the company you work for. Even more, you also have to know the laws/logistics.

11:00 am: Library/study

Once I get my day going from there, I then look to make sure that I manage the other tasks throughout my day. This can come in an array of things such as; tracking the stock market, reading, going to my academic advisor, and so forth. As a student-athlete, I make sure that I balance my time to ensure I capitalize off everything I do, and to attack the week from there.

12:00 pm: Lunch

During this time, I look to be able to get ahead on any assignments in class, along with checking my school and personal email for any important updates. Given athletes now have the ability to make deals, leveraging this along with opportunities affiliated with my institution at Morehouse College, makes me only further to utilize my network to the fullest extent.

1:00 pm: Film study

Film study is broken down typically into an hour-long session, our coach breaks down what forms, sets, and other plays the offense and defense have to do during practice.

3:00 pm: Leadership/professional development

This is a business development class that focuses on being able to help develop/create leaders in the corporate setting.

5:45-7:00 pm: Practice

This is a two-hour duration where our team breaks down what we have to cover for our fall and upcoming season respectively. This allows us to work on our craft and make tweaks in our fundamentals to become better.

7:30 pm: Dinner

As a lacrosse player, my dinner usually consists of having a healthy meal filled with grams of protein, carbs, and vegetables.

8:30 pm: Wind down

For the rest of the day, I will just finish up homework and get ready for bed!
