Homesickness is an unfortunate reality for many college students every semester. Many college students are living far away from their families for the first time in their lives, and homesickness can take a toll mentally and physically. This can be even worse for college athletes, who have to practice or compete every weekend and don't have the time to visit home.

Here are 4 quick and easy ways to deal with homesickness when it catches up to you:
- Cook your favorite meal from home
- Hang up some pictures of your friends and family in your room
- Journal. Write out your thoughts and feelings on paper
- Go to dinner with the families of your college friends who live close by
