Coach Reno is a former player football player for Worcester State, 1993-1996. He was hired as the Joel E. Smilow head coach of the Yale Bulldogs football in January 2012. Before his coaching career started at Yale he spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Harvard. Unless you have been living under a rock you probably already know that Yale claimed the 2017 Ivy league football title. Go Bulldogs! Coach Reno and his team completed their 2017 season with a 6-1 record. It was their first Ivy League Championship since 2006. This win is the Bulldog's 15th Ivy league title. Coach Reno: Toughness.

Coach Reno: Film, Transcript and HS Coach evaluation.

Coach Reno: End of Soph year.

Coach Reno: We want guys who love football and are intentional in all they do.

Coach Reno: Guys who BCD (Blame, Complain, Distrust).

2aDays: What is the best advice you can offer a recruit?

Coach Reno: Take care of your 20 sq feet and close the circle.

Coach Reno: Speed and power.

Coach Reno: Too short and not enough plays.

2aDays: When do you recommend recruits put together and share their highlight reels? Is it best to make their highlight reel during offseason, in the middle of the season, or after each game?

Coach Reno: Any.

Coach Reno: Control what you can control.

2aDays: How big a factor is social media when recruiting players? What advice do you have for athletes regarding social media?

Coach Reno: Realize everything you put on SM is an evaluation.
