If you are a current or future student at an HBCU, you might be eligible for a ! Here is a list of some . Some of them have deadlines that are fast approaching!

HBCU WEEK: All Due Feb 16th

HBCU WEEK is a foundation dedicated to encouraging high school youth to enroll in HBCUs by providing and sustaining the employment pipeline. Here are 7 of their scholarships that are due in three days:

1. NFL Scholarship

Award:

An accepted applicant will receive $10,000 for this scholarship. This can be used on room and board and tuition.

Awards Available: 7

Requirements:

  • Verifiable high school transcript
  • Proof of acceptance at an (acceptance letters can be submitted through 4/11)
  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Complete high school with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Attend an HBCU for all of your college education
  • Prove financial need

2. Capital One Scholarship

Award:

An accepted applicant will receive $10,000 for this scholarship. This money can be used on room and board and tuition.

Requirements:

  • Verifiable high school transcript
  • Proof of acceptance at an HBCU (acceptance letters can be submitted through 4/11)
  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Complete high school with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Attend an HBCU for all of your college education
  • Prove financial need

3. Changemaker Scholarship

Award:

An accepted applicant will receive $10,000 for this scholarship. This money can be used on room and board and tuition.

Requirements:

  • Verifiable high school transcript
  • Proof of acceptance at an HBCU (acceptance letters can be submitted through 4/11)
  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Complete high school with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Attend an HBCU for all of your college education
  • Prove financial need
  • Be a resident of Delaware

4. Lexis Nexis Scholarship

Award:

An accepted applicant will receive $10,000 for this scholarship. This money can be used on room and board and tuition.

Requirements:

  • Verifiable high school transcript
  • Proof of acceptance at an HBCU (acceptance letters can be submitted through 4/11)
  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Complete high school with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Attend an HBCU for all of your college education
  • Prove financial need

5. AstraZeneca Scholarship (current college students)

Award:

An accepted applicant will receive $25,000 for this scholarship.

Requirements:

  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate HBCU
  • Majoring in a STEM field (including majors focused on healthcare)
  • Attend an HBCU for all of their college education
  • Submit a letter of recommendation
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA
  • Submit a 2-4 minute video:
    • Talking about how this scholarship will impact your future career goals
    • Answering how the pharmaceutical industry can support underrepresented minority groups and help increase trust

6. AstraZeneca Scholarship (future college students)

Award:

This award is for STEM or supply chain-related majors working towards a bachelor's degree. An accepted applicant will receive $25,000 for this scholarship. This money can be used on room and board and tuition.

Awards Available: 4

Requirements:

  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate HBCU
  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Complete high school with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Attend an HBCU for all of your college education
  • Prove financial need

7. Barclays Scholarship

Award:

An accepted applicant will receive $15,000 for this scholarship. This money can be used on room and board and tuition.

Requirements:

  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate HBCU
  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Complete high school with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Attend an HBCU for all of your college education
  • Prove financial need

Preferred Majors:

Banking, Finance, Marketing, Mass Communication

8. Shawn Carter Foundation:

Gloria Carter, mother of rapper and producer Jay-Z, co-founded the Shawn Carter Foundation in 2003.

Opens: April 1st

Deadline: April 30th

Award:

Qualifying students can receive up to $15,000 from this scholarship for tuition and room and board. About 145 students receive a scholarship each year.

Requirements:

  • Students pursuing their first undergraduate degree
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • 25 years old or younger
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Household income doesn't exceed $75,000

9. Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation Scholarship:

Due: March 14th

The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation Scholarship provides scholarships to Black/African American students who are enrolled full-time as a junior or senior at specific HBCUs.

Award:

Qualifying students can receive up to $5,000 from this scholarship for tuition and room and board.
