is tough. You have to deal with finding a job or applying to graduate school, you have your last ever sports , you have to make sure you are set for , and you have to deal with the fact that you are going to be an actual adult in a short amount of time. As a recent graduate, I can tell you that it's definitely not easy. However, hopefully, these 8 tips will make your time a little less stressful.

1. Go at your own pace

This is easier said than done, but you can't let other people stress you out. Some people start applying for jobs extremely early, and other people wait until the last minute. Feel it out and don't get too caught up in what other people are doing.

2. Utilize your career center

As soon as you graduate, you won't have the same access to your school's career center. While you can, you should meet with someone to help you along in your process. They can help you find connections, narrow down your interests, fix up your resume, get you ready for interviews, and so much more.

3. Don't spend too much time thinking about your future

As much as you want to nail down your job search or graduate applications, you should also remember to remain in the present. You want to enjoy your last year of college. As much as you need to focus on your future, make sure you still spend time with your friends and go to your favorite places before you leave.

4. Try not to put too much pressure on your last season

Most college athletes have been playing their sport since they can remember. Unless you are going professional, it's hard to have your competitive career end so suddenly. During your last season, try to remember why you fell in love with your sport in the first place and play for that reason.

5. Network!

There is no connection like an alumni connection. As often as you can, attend career fairs, alumni events, and events through your major. These events will help you learn how to communicate with potential employers and will provide you with useful connections.

6. Take care of yourself!

As stressful as this year is, you are the number one priority. Try to get enough sleep, hang out with your friends, go outside, and do anything else that makes you happy. You don't want to look back on your senior year and have regrets.

7. Do what's best for you

As much as I have mentioned getting a job after graduation or going to graduate school, remember that these aren't for everyone. If you want to travel and take a break from school and work, do it. If you want to move home and take your time looking at the next steps, do it. Don't let other people's paths get in your way.

8. Enjoy the little things

When I look back on my college experience, I don't remember the big tests or long essays. My favorite moments were laughing with my friends and getting at our favorite places. The same goes for sports. I don't remember everything that happened during games, but I do remember laughing in the locker room before games, post-game meals, and the bus rides. As you are going through your senior year, do your favorite things as many times as you can.
