Officers use software and audits to carefully document everything to make sure an athlete is able to participate in athletics. For instance, a low GPA may disallow an athlete's participation. The NCAA bylaws are designed to promote informed decisions and balance the interests of prospective and current (or ) student-athletes, their educational institutions, and intercollegiate athletics as a whole. Compliance officers also make sure all rules involving unofficial and official visits are in compliance.
