Steve recruited me and told my parents that he takes care of his wrestlers when they are away from home. Then when he was forced to make roster cuts he had his assistant coach tell us that we were cut from the team. I haven’t heard a single word from Steve since that day (unless it was an email asking for donations from alumni). Steve will treat you like family if you have a chance to win a national title… but will toss you to the side if you aren’t the best.
