He was the worst coach I played for in all of the sports I played in my life- he does play favorites as mentioned by someone else- he doesn't care for all of his players- didn't feel cared for or looked out for by him in any means- if I could do it over, knowing he would be my coach, I would not have attended Skidmore.

Coach Plourde is guilty of playing favorites which causes resentment from one half of the team and adulation from the other half. He makes judgments about players before he meets them and his subconscious really drives his decision making. Other than that I really enjoyed my time at Skidmore and the culture is great.

Coach Plourde was great. As a freshman, we weren’t a successful team whatsoever, by senior year we were competing, and loving each and every game. Coach pushed us to be our best, and I’ll never forget my time playing for him.

Coach Plourde cares about you as a human being first and foremost. Yes, he wants to win ballgames but he also wants you to leave Skidmore a better person than you were when you entered, and that’s the essence of D3 sports. He’s created a culture of love, work ethic, and radiant energy that strengthens us as a team.

Coach has changed a ton over the past 4 years. He is now able to relate to his players much better and he has created a family-like culture. Our level of intensity and work ethic has also sky-rocketed over the past few seasons (also thanks to assistant Coach Mick).
