He understands Baseball very well but that is where I think the benefits of him as a coach stops. He understands social media which isn't a requirement to be a good coach but he can make the team look better than they really are. If you are not in his starting 8 fielders after the first 5 games you will never see the field unless an injury is involved. He does not care about giving chances to players, in blowout games both losing and winning he will just not make any subs, maybe if one player is lucky he will give a pinch hit to one kid and a defensive rotation for another kid and that's about it. I had a direct conversation with him mid-season about playing time, and he lied to my face saying that I earned chances to play and should play more for the rest of the season. He never changed the starting 8 for the rest of the season after that conversation, whether his starting 8 players were in a slump or not.
