Doesn't believe in pregame hype speeches. Difficulty accessing him if you're not a star player of team. Very knowledgeable about game, almost to a fault when designing schemes. Doesn't beat around bush when addressing issues, but doesn't throw people under the bus either. Huge Star Wars, combat sports and military fan.

I played under coach ross for 5 years. Although we had our differences at points and i disagreed with how he handled things sometimes, i have never seen someone persevere and continue to fight keeping his chin up quite like this man. I wish nothing but the best for him for the rest of his career.

Those that don't like him don't understand the manor of his job and what he does on a daily basis. Great guy who means well just very passionate and does a lot for the team.

Cares about the growth of his players on and off the field. Really good at disciplining the team. Not good at controlling his temper at all. Would be much better just as a defensive coordinator.

I loved coach, he was a joy to play for and had our backs through it all. What I enjoyed most was to see his growth throughout my 4 years. I wish him nothing but success with future teams.
