ATU Volleyball continues to decline under the direction of Kera Dukic Coleman. No graduate assistance and NOW we have NO Assistant Coach. The assistant coach left to be an Assistant Coach for another NCAA Division 2 program. She needed to get away from the crazy culture at ATU Volleyball that Kera has developed. Not sure who will become the next Assistant Coach for ATU Volleyball if Kera is in charge of hiring that person. PLEASE ATU Athletics, take the initiative to be involved in the hiring process and bring a professional into the program. Please don't let Kera hire someone that she can manipulate and bully into going along with her "culture" which is toxic. Please use this opportunity to give the ATU Volleyball program a chance to improve with someone who is qualified and professional. Thank you

ATU Volleyball is awful. It's one thing to have a loosing record but still grow and learn and develop or have fun with your teammates. HOWEVER, we had NONE of those things this season. The team culture is toxic because that's the culture that Kera developed. She sometimes pretends to revamp the culture and make it more positive but she fails at that because deep down to her core, Kera thrives on adversity. She is not happy unless there is some kind of drama so that she can point to that drama and make that her excuse as to why she is failing at her JOB.

Instead of focusing on getting better players on that team are constantly stalking and talking about past players. What is sad is this stems from the head coach directly.

ATU & Abby Davis never did anything to hold her actions accountable. Kera can’t own up to her DUI. She sweeps it under the rug and acts like it doesn’t exist. Anytime someone brings it up she gets belligerent. Thank god these girls only have a few weeks left of this embarrassment.

Kera is absolutely the worst coach. Lose bad for set, start the same lineup. Lose again 2nd set, same lineup. Lose again same lineup. Doesn't have any idea what she is doing. 19 matches of doing the same thing is obviously not working. 2-21 is embarrassing. Not only should this verbally and mentally abusive coach should be fired, the AD should be fired. She knows everything that is going on, but encourages it. Please would somebody please help us.

She's no good not one bit

My daughter played for this awful program and was abused by Kera in 2021. She is one of the players Kera surely still negatively talks about. But that girl is thriving!!! It gives me GREAT satisfaction to see her get roasted for the crap job she does. She was a terrible female role model and dangerously manipulative. The troubling issue is that the AD doesn't have a backbone to do anything about it!! ATU has been aware of the abuse by Kera, yet the turn the other way because she is cheap! You know dollar-store kind of coach. GAC 2021 Championship was due to the recruting efforts of Coach Nook and a few good players who came from great programs! I wonder if ATU sees it now? Probably not....maybe the whole institution is dollar store quality. Advice to future recruites.... take all the scholarship money you can! They do full rides all the time!! You just have to push back, look at her options. ATU has the funds to pay for your education, housing and meals but dont expect to have a positive or WINNING (LOL) experience. HA!

Lets goo!!!! Officially 1-10, exciting stuff! Make sure to pack the stand on Thursday to watch ATU get completely slaughtered by HSU.

I've waited a long time to post a review on here... mostly because the trauma I experienced being in this program has taken me years now to recover from and as I move into my adult life I still struggle from triggers and things that happened to me while under the "care" of Kera Dukic-Coleman. I wish I would've read past the lies and deception when she sat there and looked me and my family in the eyes at my visit and said id be safe there because my whole life was ruined... my confidence ruined... my body ruined... my love for the game is gone I do not wish to ever play or touch a ball for my own self desires ever again. I tried to self harm while in this program and am so grateful to be alive today. She attacked me and my character and I spent a whole season protecting others from her egotistical retaliatory toxic god complex personality. Sometimes the girls who never understood why the lot of us who disliked Coach Kera so much will one day when they are out from under her control that maybe she was as bad as we made her out to be. some of us just weren't as willing to play her games just to get court time or be treated like a human being versus abusing us.I mean go back and look at prior rosters she's had she's lost almost more than half of her players every year... even after a championship season she loses her whole roster to the portal. and some quit. they are 1-9 now... for tech's sake I pray they can turn it around for the better but a second single digit wins season you'd think the school would reevaluate her position at that point. what's truly best for tech here? the president just got fired lets hope some one comes in who's unwavering in their desire for this school academically and athletically to be staffed by people who genuinely want to curate a place where young girls can grow into great woman. and not that the girls who've lived and been through the trauma havent ended up being some of the most strong and amazing woman and leaders and can share their experiences to help others but man it wouldve been nice to not have all this pain and hurt for years on after... I just want Kera to self reflect... just think... maybe maybe I did something wrong too. thats all I ever wanted from here. self reflect.

1-9 for this season so far... Ouch. Now that I no longer play for kera I enjoy sitting back, eating my bag of popcorn, and enjoy watching her scramble. She made me feel so small as a person, a player, and a teammate. Nothing is ever enough for her. She still stalks past players too on social media, yet acts like she’s so much better than you and is above all. She’s manipulative, controlling, and a liar. She still try’s to control players by emailing future or current coaches because she can’t handle that the reason why people leave this program is because of HER! I’ll tell you ATU is a great school, has great teachers, and a great Colosseum to play in. One thing the school is missing is a great volleyball coach. Will this be another year where she sits the team down and tells them she’s gonna get fired because they aren’t winning and it’s the teams fault? Or will kera take responsibility for once and realize she’s the problem? I’m gonna assume she’s gonna blame it on the team because that’s the type of coach she is:) anyways can’t wait to tune in for this weeks matches! Best of luck to the girls truly but I will never wish Kera any luck.

She plays her favorites end of story. And then when her favorites aren’t doing good she will throw you in third set and expects you to be huge game changer. Cycle repeats. If you aren’t her favorite don’t expect to to gain any time on the court. She will continuously play her favorites even if they don’t perform. You may be on the court one season then riding the bench next. Even when she tells you in meetings you will be playing next season and gives you more money. Don’t fall for it.

Recruits it’s coming that time to make a tough decision. I was In your shoes once. When I took my visit to Tech & came to the camp it seemed like butterflies & rainbows. Coach Coleman tells your exactly what you want to hear, she will be overly positive with you & to anyone she interacts with. Please please please do not fall for it like I did. It was the worst semester of my life. There were points I even contemplated just ending it all. I know that seems a bit extreme but I felt like I was literally in asylum. She has such a good way of isolating your from friends and family. I am behind thankful I got out while I could. I’m sure she treads even more carefully because, if this review page. But she cannot help herself. She will always resort back to some type of narcissistic behavior at some point. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not come here. This is coming from a player that got out while they were a freshman. If you don’t don’t believe any of the reviews please just take mine inconsideration. If I could help save one innocent player from this troublesome program then I would feel so much better.

The Arkansas Tech Volleyball Team winning the GAC in 2021 was because of the recruiting and coaching efforts of Chris Nook - the Asst Coach at ATU in 2021. Coach Nook handled 90% of the recruiting and he was a very technical coach. His scouting reports were top notch. He put together the ATU team that won 2021 GAC and some of his recruits are still on the roster today (2023) but the majority of them graduated out of the program or transfered out of the program. Chris Nook left ATU in 2021 and now Coach Kera is 100% in charge of everything from recruiting and the technical advising, scouting, etc. She does not have the volleyball IQ for this and as the years pass without a good solid coaching foundation (that Chris Nook originally brought), this program will continue to decline. Coach Kera is not qualified to be a head coach for an NCAA D2 program. She lacks the training and knowledge to run a successful program. This program will continue to decline under the direction of Kera Dukic Coleman.

I am not sure why nobody is checking into the volleyball situation at ATU. The Spring 2023 Roster has people dropping off it like crazy. Why? Coach Kera would like to tell you it's because of injuries, etc. BUT the truth is way different. One player is an education major and Coach Kera won't work with her class schedule so she can play. Can you imagine? Teachers are in short supply accross the US and Coach Kera will not accomodate her schedule and it's not like she is student teaching. She has regular class schedule and Coach Kera will not work with the times. WHY does the administration allow this? The student facility advisors are so frustrated with Coach Kera because she is so difficult to work with and is not cooperative at all. Coach Kera is not a morning person so she wants practices in the afternoon. Which is fine if that would be 5PM or 6PM but NO.... that's Happy Hour for ole' Coach. So practices are like 3PM in the afternoon which is so messed up when trying to schedule classes. I don't understand WHY she is still allowed to continue with her drama and nonsense.

Reviews are more than true. Recruits please look up rosters over the years a contact any player that is not within that program anymore. They can vouch most of the things said on here are true. One just posted about some of her experience and talked about how depressed she was from Kera. Reach out!

The reviews before this give little to no context of a review. I can share my personal experience as to why this coach is anything but ELITE. Firstly, she shows up 30 minutes late to practice. But expects the girls to be there 30 minutes before. I remember vividly a few times it has been from having meetings with her “captains” to talk mess poorly about others on the team. One in particular she had a meeting with a player last year to discuss this review page because she thought the player was involved in writing the reviews. So, the player and her had to meet so this particular player could plead her case that is wasn’t her because she was afraid this coach was going to retaliate against her. We also had practices where we never even touched a ball. Look, I am all for having some team bonding or mental health days but this was beyond that. One practice she used the time to have a meeting with us and called in an outside paster to help her run this meeting. She grouped us in “cliques” she thought we were apart of and started to read off drama that girls had confided to her about and dropped everyone’s names. She made the pastor try to get us to come forward about being involved in this particular review page and if we were telling our parents or former teammates what had been going on. Since negative reviews were being written about her. She told us that what was going on was between the team and it was no one else’s business to know what goes on. Seriously? Looking back she didn’t want us going to anyone about this because it was verbal and emotional abuse. She made us stand for 3 hours. During those 3 hours players were getting yelled at by her, the pastor and other teammates, and players were crying. My question what about this is “elite” ? This was a true scenario that really did happen last year. Don’t believe me ? Ask any girl that was apart of this team last year. This coach is a terrible person and does not care about players. One of the reviews said “she helped them through their darkest times”. This coach did the exact opposite to a lot of us. She was reason why we were in our lowest/darkest times. I don’t every describe someone this negatively but for her I will. She is one of worst people I have ever encountered in my life. I often think how much hate someone has to have in their heart to behave this horribly. Parents, players, anyone reading this. Please do not come here. The emotional and verbal abuse I endured here is not anything I wish upon anyone. She has so many people conditioned to think she is a great person but she is not. Please read the reviews, please read the stories that have happened to us on this team. Please reach out to everyone. I lost myself and my love for volleyball playing under this woman.

It’s sad that the cycle is being repeated again over and over. What I mean by that is past player’s continuously being spoken on by ATUVB players. This is exactly what happened last year & started a lot of drama between both sides. And here it is beginning again. Me and others that are not with the program anymore are fed up with it and I’m calling the bs out. One girl currently on the team has been in contact with multiple players that have either been kicked off or have left the program. She has told them how a group of the girls on the team currently have been talking about them. Anytime and anywhere. It is completely sad and disheartening to hear this is going on. And she even said better yet the coach allows this type of behavior to continue. I was biting my tongue for long enough until I heard that this same player we thought was an alley is being two faced and also playing around with the gossiping. So I am calling this program out directly. If this does not stop legal action will be taken. We have text message proof, and voice recordings of this BLATANT DEFAMATION going on. The next step is serving this coach formally by a lawyer. PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT THERE TO DEFEND THEMSELVES.

I am a player that was at the prospect account that was held this past Saturday and I would like to share my experience with the Arkansas Tech Volleyball program. Coming into the camp I had very high hopes and expectations. Walking in the Tucker Collisium gym catches your eye very well. It is so big and bright that it really does make it a pro about this University. Everything else felt off though. It was very disorganized. The girls that were running the camp seemed very groupie and cliquish not only with the girls trying out but it seemed like there was an inner circle just within the team. Not all of the girls were like that there were a few that were very nice and helpful throughout the camp session. But it seemed like the ones within the group were very distant and not very willing to engage with us or even their own teammates unless they were within their group. During the camp, I felt very disoriented. It looked like the coach did not prepare very well for the session and the girls running it had little to know idea what was going on. I felt very out of place and felt like there were other prospect tryouts I would rather put my time and money towards before this one. After sitting down with my family and finding this review page I wish I could have found it sooner. After reading the last review about the tryout I felt that a lot of it was true. I would not have attended if I had known what it was going to be like.

Tonight we have to work a “college tryout”. Basically it is a tryout where college athletes can come that are either JUCO prospects or wanting to transfer from the current team they were at. But for Kera it is a money grab. Last season we ran this and she was so dismissive to the girls trying out. She had no plan and it was completely disorganized. She makes us run it and gives no sense of direction until about 5 minutes before we start. Last season, we were in desperate need of a middle. We had some girls that came and she didn’t take any of them. Down the road she took an outside hitter but she didn’t take any middles. She instead takes a player from another sport that hasn’t touched a volleyball since high school and is a junior in college. I find It completely disrespectful. Not only did these girls drive hours and dedicate their time and money to this not knowing Kera wasn’t planning on taking anything from them but $$. She takes someone that already plays a sport at tech instead of girls who have dreamed all their life at playing at the next level. It’s ridiculous and a money grab. Don’t fall for it. She has to have these money fundraisers because she can’t manage her money and has 23 + girls on the team. Please go to a program where you are actually wanted.

unfortunately, i played at this university and wasted a year of eligibility. Granted, I did carry the team into a GAC championship but once we got to the first round of NCAA, we shit the bed and got sent home. That night my room was broken into at Nutt and she didn’t give one singular shit about it. “It’s not my problem” she said. Well listen here Kera Dookie, your reputation is bullshit. Not only are you inconsiderate and fake, but you are a liar with nothing to your name. The only reason you are still at this university is because you have Abby Davis on speed dial if anything were to go wrong. I also don’t blame Abby because any coach she reaches out to to fill your spot is going to give her a FUCK NO. You think anyone wants to live in this godforsaken town? There’s nothing to do !!!! I truly hope all of your commits de-commit after seeing ANY of these posts. This is real stuff people. If you are a parent or guardian i highly suggest you do some digging. I’m so glad I left this place with 3 years left. Good riddance.

Coach Kera has asked us to unfriend and unfollow ATU Volleyball players that have transferred out of ATU in the last 2 seasons (2021 and 2022). She gets on our social media accounts daily and keeps a spreadsheet of which players are still following transfer players. We have some good friends that are in the 2022 NCAA D2 tournament and we can't show them love or support becausee Kera will get so upset. She has a little spy on the team that tells her if some of us have streaks going with old players and/or if we are on someone's private story. Coach Kera has created such a negative culture on this team that you can't tell which player is a Pretender. Players that are pretending to be your friend but they secretly go behind your back and report things about you to Coach Kera. Something simple as wishing an old friend good luck in a volleyball tournament is considered a betrayal to Coach Kera and ATU Volleyball. It's depressing and sad.

My daughter had a terrible experience with this coach. Coach Kera repeatedly mis-represented information to us about on campus vs off campus housing. I am not sure if she didn't know what she was talking about of if she is just a pathological liar. She has an absolute terrible reputation with the ATU housing department and therefore, the ATU housing or RES Life is not very helpful with ATU Volleyball players. Coach Kera has burned so many bridges within the ATU community and unfortunately, that trickles down onto the volleyball players. They pay a price for her poor reputation on ATU campus. There is absolutely no support for the ATU Volleyball players compared to other sports teams at ATU.

I cannot recommend this program as it is very disfunctional and all Coach Kera does is play mind games with both her staff and her players. This past season she stopped at a Subway for our team meal after we lost and she held back 3 players on the bus and LOCKED the doors. Those 3 players were asked to vote on each specific player if they could be trusted or not - options were yes, no or maybe. Coach Kera gave her vote on each player as well. This meeting lasted so long that players had ordered and were trying to get back on the bus but she wouldn't let them with the door locked. The assistant coach and athletic trainer were also locked out of the bus and had to go back inside with the players to wait for her to unlock the bus. So UNPROFESSIONAL.

#1 coming at the girls saying mommy and daddy spoon feed the girls who were mentally and emotionally abused by this woman. It’s sad because your daddy was all up on this trying to get involved as well, so guess you must be spoon fed as well. Along crying for a Lib jersey because it’s ur senior year. What a joke. Maybe you should play better instead of crying for a spot. My experience playing for kera was a wreck and these reviews prove how this coach treats people. Kera’s goal is not to succeed, it’s to control and manipulate as many girls as she can. Once she realizes she can’t control that player she “ releases“ them and says she wishes them nothing but the best but yet gossips about them in her meetings, at team dinners and at practices. This is a depressing sad program especially when we are forced to lie about community service hours so kera looks perfect to the community. This school has so much potential and it’s sad to see it be wasted, these girls have so much potential and all they need is a leader who inspire players to be a good person on and off the court. Clearly that’s not happening.
