Intense Fitness Is Important Poor Communication
I struggled with mental health when I got to college and coach did not help. She acted like she loved me and I was the top recruit all up until I actually committed. It was like she forgot about me after that. She stated to me in a meeting once, “you look miserable, like you don’t even want to be here”, when I was actively battling depression. When I stated that I didn’t, she didn’t offer any help or support. She played favorites and did not show consistency. You would play 45 minutes in one game and then not at all the next for no reason. When you asked about it, she would say you are the inconsistent one. She led me to hate the sport, so much that I ended up quitting.
