Very nice when it came to the recruiting aspect. Then once an athlete was set in the program, completely shows her true colors. To begin with, anyone that is new does not get a fair chance to compete for a starting spot. It is sad to see a coach play favorites and this is something Jessica does, ask any athlete that has played for her. Is not up to date with current volleyball, clearly does not give athletes equal opportunities, likes her specific clique of athletes and leaves the rest to the side. Is not knowledgeable of the current game and is “content” with having more losses than wins. She literally has told the girls “it’s okay to lose”, what kind of coach says that to their team? Has a 55-155 win to losses record. Has the athletes but does not know how to coach. Also there is no lifting program/conditioning during season so good luck and do that on your own. She genuinely does not seem passionate or have any motivation when it comes to her job. Does the same boring drills every single day eventually drying out her athletes. Also what kind of “collegiate program” runs a slow offense. This is the reason why they can’t compete against other teams. Would not recommend this coach to anyone. The amount of athletes that transfer after a season is crazy. Really hope that the athletic department makes wise decisions to have her removed. The program would be better off without her. Graduated early and left because I didn’t want to waste another year there.
