To Jeb’s credit, he is a very good recruiter. It is made easy by the fact that Centre has such amazing soccer and athletic facilities that are continuing to grow. You don’t see anything like this at most other D3 schools. It is comparable to a D1 school. However, Jeb as a coach is insufferable. He has point blank said to his injured players it is their fault in any injury they pick up from pulled hamstrings to ACL tears. He has stated it is not in his job description to motivate players and takes no responsibility for attempting to build any type of team culture. As a soccer coach, to say he knows little to nothing is an understatement. He was a D3 goalkeeper in the 70s and coaches like it too. He has no concept of the modern game or any tactical awareness at all for that matter. In the most recent conference game, he is quoted having told his team to “kick it to the corner any time we get the ball”. This was said before the match started… against an extremely subpar team. He runs the same drills every single practice and has nothing to say before or during practice, but after the entire practice is over he will sometimes address the team and complain like a petulant child. It is an absolute joke of a coaching staff and a mockery of such elite facilities and talented players. I feel bad for the school that they don’t know enough about soccer or people to realize this.
