I feel that although Coach Vaughan has extensive hockey knowledge and I know he has made great connections with alumni/boosters for the program, his coaching style and tactics are very outdated, and his personal record reflects that notion. He has had some extremely talented players come through the system lately, but has not done a great job of helping them develop (as noticed by a handful leaving early for the pro ranks). He is also highly disliked by many current/ recent former players.
