When I think of a great teammate, I think of Andi Nelson. Andi is a hardworking and selfless teammate. She will pick you up when you make an error or if you're feeling a little down. If you need advice Andi is your girl, she always knows what to say. She is the perfect example of a good athletic citizen – someone who supports and cheers on their teammates, and who never quits working hard, even if they're not the best on the team. She's who you should strive to be like if you want to be recruited by college coaches.

A story that always comes to mind when I think of Andi is the second round of the conference tournament her sophomore year. Andi was our starting pitcher, but she wasn't exactly pitching her best game that day. After Andi gave up a 3 run homerun, she was pulled. I could tell Andi felt like she let us down and that was something she struggled with. Next time we were at bat, our teammate Holly hit a single run homerun that tied the game. Andi shot off the bench and was the first person at the plate to congratulate Holly when she crossed it. Andi was so happy for her team's success that her performance didn't get her down. To me, that's a pretty awesome teammate.
