For high school athletes who are looking to make the jump to play a sport in college, showcases and tournaments are a great step in the right direction. These events can potentially get a player on a coach's radar. Below are some showcases and tournaments you can attend to help get that coach to discover your talents.

1. All-America Lacrosse Powered by New Balance Underclass Tournament 

This tourney is an annual event where high school lacrosse players wish to be noticed. Division I, II, and III programs are invited to the tournament, in addition to the regional tryouts as well. Selected players on various regional underclass teams will be at the top of the list their senior year of high school for selection to the New Balance All-America Team. The benefits to this tournament is that coaches from D1, D2, and D3 schools will be there and that can maximize exposure if an athlete solely wants to grab the attention of any college coach.

2. Adrenaline Black Card 88

This US-only and invite-only camp is capped at 88 participants and is sponsored by Lacrosse equipment provider “adrenaline”. The event is hosted in Frederica, Delaware but is attended by D1 coaches from across the country. Athletes will receive first class exposure and training from elite lacrosse coaches.

3. The Showtime Lacrosse National Recruiting Spotlight

This showcase is an invite-only event that top lacrosse players from both the United States and Canada attend, whether they are committed to college or not. In 2018, it is incredibly important to note that every Division I college lacrosse coaching staff attended. 

4. New England Top 150 

Mostly Ivy League and other highly reputable coaches attend and watch lacrosse recruits at this camp, which consists of drills and fundamentals coaching, with a lot of opportunity to engage with college coaches. You can apply to participate. 

5. The Prep School Lacrosse Showcase 

This event takes place in early June every year, generally the first Sunday after Memorial Day, which limits the participants to prep school student-athletes. There is a great talent pool and very exciting list of coaches, for the most part Division I schools. This camp offers the top prep school lacrosse players in the Northeast region a fair chance at being recruited to one of the best programs in the nation. There have been a total of 848 college coaches that have attended since 2010, when the first annual Prep School Lacrosse Showcase took place. This showcase takes place at the Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut.

6. The Elite 180 Lacrosse Camp 

This elite camp is hosted for top athletes and a lot of the most competitive academic schools in the country have their coaches attend. If a smaller, very competitive academic school with an excellent lacrosse program sounds like it is for you, the Elite 180 Lacrosse Camp is the right move. 

7. Adrenaline's Black Card Showcase

This invitation-only premier lacrosse showcase features the best of the best–only the top 1% of players nationally are able to compete in this charity recurring event. Every top NCAA program has their coaching staff attend. This year's showcase was on June 7, 2019, and the price for all ages was $295 per participant. The divisions include Grade 8, Grade 9, Grade 10, and Grade 11. Teams are created according to graduation year and the position the athlete plays. All participants are required to be members of US Lacrosse.

8. The NLF Summer Kickoff Showcase 

This event takes place in Newcastle, Delaware and it's run by the 6 leading clubs across the entire nation. The main goal of this showcase is to take in the top club programs and lacrosse players from the nation in hopes of creating an extremely competitive and enjoyable event for everyone involved, 

9. The Lacrosse Master Northeast Summer Prospect Camp 

This prospect camp takes place in Avon, Connecticut and hosts top lacrosse recruits. Additionally, the staff comes from  some of the country's top schools: Boston University, Bowdoin College, Brown University, Bucknell University, Colby College, Colgate University, Columbia University, , Dartmouth College, Georgetown University, , College of the Holy Cross, , , , , Tufts University, University of Pennsylvania, Williams College, and . This camp is limited to 80 lacrosse players. This year's camp is on July 22, 2019 and is located at Avon Old Farms School in Avon, Connecticut.

10. The NXT MidAmerica Showcase 

The showcase is open to any athlete in the age range requirement. There is an application, as well as a nomination from the player's coach. After this, the team reviews them and sends the player details on how to register. There are then invitation dates, once a month from November through April. Then, the players have time to get ready for the late June showcase.

11. The Good to Great Showcase 

This program at Amherst College invites coaches from D1 and D3 lacrosse programs from all over the country.  The price of the showcase is $350, and must be paid in full by June 15th each year. All refund requests require a $75 refund fee, along with a $10 service charge. After June 1st, no refunds will be given out. 

All in all, lacrosse showcases prove to be a great opportunity for young athletes to showcase their skills in hopes of getting a college lacrosse offer. Please check out these events and see which one is the right fit for you!
