The Big Ten is one of the most competitive conferences in college sports. The in the Big Ten are also very interesting due to the extreme weather in certain areas. There are a variety of stadiums with beautiful backdrops, playing surfaces, and amenities. Here is our list of the top five Big Ten baseball stadiums:

5. Indiana (Bart Kaufman Stadium)

A sleek all-turf field, Indiana University's Bart-Kaufman stadium starts off our list at #5. This stadium was meant to get rowdy! It is built like a traditional college stadium with seats only behind home plate and the dugouts. A large LED scoreboard is the highlight of this field. This stadium has hosted two NCAA regionals and it is easy to see why.

4. Michigan (Ray Fisher Stadium)

Another simple but elegant field, except this time housed at the University of Michigan. This stadium is sleek and has a very polished feel. The field is fully turf and there is a large “M” carved into the center field. A large brick wall in the left field gives off some green monster vibes. Spacious dugouts and bullpens give the ballpark an open feel. This sleek stadium comes in at #4 on the list.

3. Maryland (Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium)

A very unique and interesting field, University of Maryland's ballpark matches perfectly with the surrounding area. The stadium features a white-column, brick design. The stadium has an old, antique feel that is perfect for the nearby D.C. area. Another aspect of the park that makes it unique is how small it is! Maryland's park is, by far, the smallest in the Big 10. It is a hitter's favorite dream, but a pitcher's worst nightmare. It is only 365 feet to straightaway center field! With a historical feel, Bob Smith Stadium checks in at the #3 spot. 

2. Purdue (Alexander Field)

A simple, yet beautiful field in the middle of Indiana. Purdue University‘s field is peaceful and quiet and gives off “Field of Dreams” vibes. The playing surface is absolutely phenomenal and the brick structure gives it an old-fashioned feel. The dugouts are spacious and clean. Everything about the stadium is very open and organized. It feels like you are playing in the middle of a cornfield. Purdue's Alexander Field locks it down at #2.

1. University of Nebraska (Haymarket Park)

I might be a little biased, but the University of Nebraska has one of the best playing surfaces in all of . The field has a “minor-league feel” to it with seats behind the right field fence. The backdrop is absolutely beautiful and gives the a nice look at Memorial Stadium and Pinnacle Bank Arena. The stadium can hold more than 8500 people and is spacious with plenty of places to sit around the park. Great concessions featuring the famous Nebraska “red dog” round it off as the top baseball stadium in the Big Ten.
