The 2021-22 NCAA basketball has come to an end, and many student-athletes have entered the in the hopes of finding a better fit for next season. Since athletes are now allowed to transfer and play immediately at their new school, there has been a substantial increase in the number of players in the portal, which will definitely impact next season. Here are the top five most sought-after men's basketball transfers this year and what they're up to next.

  1. , Guard, SMU > Memphis

, a 6'0” junior point guard, is the top player in the transfer portal this season. This past season at SMU, Davis averaged 19.4 points per game, 4.4 assists per game, and 3.8 rebounds per game. The new Memphis point guard is a lightning quick player, who can score the ball from multiple levels and get any shot that he desires. Davis will look to continue to raise his NBA draft stock at Memphis in the 2022-23 season.

  1. Nijel Pack, Guard, Kansas State > Miami (FL)

Pack, similarly to Davis, is a 6'0” point guard, however he is a sophomore. At Kansas State, he averaged 17.4 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, and shot an incredible 44% from the three point line. Pack is labeled as one of the best shooters in the entire country, and his percentage defends that. Pack will head into the 2022-23 season as the point guard for the .

  1. Tyrese , Guard, Iowa State > ?

Hunter, a 6'0” point guard, is transferring out of Iowa State after just his freshman season. While he only averaged 11 points per game, 4.9 assists per game, and shot a poor 27% from the three point line, he really found his groove during Iowa State's run. In the first round game, Hunter had 23 points and made 7 three pointers. Hunter has yet to decide where he intends to take his talents for next season.

  1. Emoni , Forward, Memphis > ?

Bates is perhaps the most interesting player on this list. Coming out of high school, Bates, a 6'9” freshman small forward, was ranked as the number 3 high school player in the entire class, across the entire country. However, Bates struggled in his season at Memphis, averaging 9.7 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game. With so much hype surrounding Bates, this season was a major disappointment. He has not decided where he will play next season, but he will surely be eager to prove himself.

  1. Johni Broome, Forward, Morehead State > ?

Broome, a 6'10” freshman power forward, was one of the many surprises of the 2021-22 season. During his one year at Morehead State, he averaged 16.8 points per game, 10.5 rebounds per game, and 3.9 blocks per game. He is an all around big man that excels at defending the rim, so Broome, similarly to Davis, will be looking to transfer into a bigger program to expand his game.
