Cheering on your teammates is always a must and there are more ways to encourage your teammates besides just in-person. For example, I like to root for my teammates and other teams at my school through

Spreading their names and achievements is always appreciated and shows support in a big way. If someone has a game or a good day it is nice to highlight their performance and show your team spirit! Plus, it's contagious–if your teammates feel supported, they're more likely to reciprocate and cheer you on as well. Mutual support is great for any team, including yours!

So, the next time you log onto your platform of choice, consider giving a teammate a shoutout. Here are a few ways ways you can do this:

: Tag your teammate in an encouraging tweet and re-tweet their content

Instagram: Post your favorite picture with your team and add a caption about why you appreciate them. You can also tag teammates in your stories. 

TikTok: Grab your teammates and jump in on the latest TikTok trend together. Team bonding can be very encouraging and fun! Plus, it builds trust and camaraderie.

Social media can be complicated and toxic but it can also be used for good. Why  not use your platform to highlight your team?
