I believe in the impossible because no one else does.
Florence Griffith-Joyner
Florence Griffith-Joyner is known as one of the best track and field athletes of all time. Griffith-Joyner started her track and field career at UCLA and competed from 1981-1983. At UCLA, Griffith-Joyner won two team national championships in 1982 and 1983; the NCAA 200-meter race, and the NCAA 400-meter race, setting an NCAA record at that time (50.94 seconds).
After her time at UCLA, Griffith-Joyner began her professional career. At the 1984 Olympic Games, she won a silver medal in the 200-meter race. Later in 1988, Florence Griffith-Joyner set the world record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.49 seconds. This time was so incredibly fast that it beat multiple countries' men's 100-meter dash records, including Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, and Turkey. Griffith-Joyner ended her career with 8 Olympic medals (3 gold) and 2 unbeaten world records (100 and 200-meter dash).
With all of her accomplishments, Florence Griffith-Joyner knows what it is like to dream big. She beat the impossible so many times in her career that it seems wrong that anyone ever doubted her. If you dream of becoming a successful athlete, you have to know that your career is going to come with doubts. However, in order to fulfill your dream, the only person that has to believe in it is you. If you want to do the impossible, you have to believe in it first. You become incredible by doing things that nobody else has even dreamed of doing.
If you want to become as successful as Griffith-Joyner was at sprinting, you have to take risks. If nobody has dared to do something before, it doesn't mean that it shouldn't be done. Have confidence in yourself to make the impossible possible. Start off your Monday right!
