Coach has been the winningest coach in history since Feb. 6, 1999. She joins , Jody Conradt, C. Vivian Stringer, Sylvia Hatchell, Tara VanderVeer, and , who are the only other women's coaches to earn at least 900 victories.

In 29 NCAA tournaments, Coach Stevens has earned 14 NCAA regional championships, ten appearances in the national semifinals, 12 30-win seasons (including five in a row), 19 Northeast-10 regular-season championships, and has broken the school record for consecutive wins seven times.              

Stevens, a five-time Russell Athletic/WBCA Division II National Coach of the Year, has an overall record of 826-183 in 31 seasons at Bentley.

Before coaching at Bentley, Stevens was the head coach at UMass Amherst and an assistant coach at Clark University, where she was named the WBCA Division II National Coach of the Year an impressive five times, was voted Northeast-10 Coach of the Year 15 times, and was named the WBCA District One Coach of the Year and Division II Coach of the Year by the American Women's Sports Federation.

Stevens was given the prestigious Carol Eckman Award from the Women's Association for sportsmanship, commitment to the student-athlete, honesty, ethical behavior, courage, and dedication to purpose in 2002 and was also an assistant coach for the USA Select Team and the West team at the U.S. Olympic Festival.
