In order to play , you really only need three pieces of equipment: a baseball glove, a bat, and cleats. Every other piece of equipment outside of those three are optional, unless you are a catcher, in which case you would need catcher's gear. For instance, batting gloves and a cup are both recommended, but they are not required. A wrist guard for infielders, an arm sleeve, and sunglasses, are all optional. In this article we'll go over the top equipment brands in baseball for your three most important pieces of equipment.

Glove: Wilson
has been a staple brand in baseball for as long as anyone can remember and is one of the most widely known glove brands in the sport. An abundance of major league players use Wilson baseball gloves, from and , to , and many others. From personal experience, I love using Wilson baseball gloves. They are durable, comfortable, and beautiful.

Bats: Marucci
There are many brands on the market today. From , and Demarini, to some of the lesser known brands such as and . With the market becoming more competitive, one brand has stood out the most: Marucci. Marucci makes both wood and metal bats for both MLB and Collegiate teams. Marucci is the most popular bat in the major leagues this year and has a significant amount of contracts with DI colleges.

Cleats: Nike
is the top cleat brand for very good reasons. Their cleats are comfortable, durable, and popular, not to mention aesthetic. They have many options to choose from and a wide price range. The two pairs of cleats I own are Nike cleats, and I've had them for over two years!
