Coming out of Poughkeepsie, New York, forward Maddy Siegrist was quite the recruit.

Her senior year of high school, Siegrist verbally committed to , and five years later, the fifth-year senior, who redshirted due to injury, has had quite the illustrious career at Villanova.

For starters, Siegrist was the leading scorer this in the with a 28.9 average, leading Villanova to a 28-6 record and #10 ranking. In her four year career, her scoring abilities have been on display, as she averages 24.1 PPG.

Then, there are her awards, which are numerous–Siegrist is the all-time leading scorer in Villanova basketball, a two-time USBWA All-American, 2022 & 2023 Big East Player of the Year, Four-time All-Big East First Team Selection, a Wooden Award Candidate (which recognizes the best player in both men's and women's ), and much more.

To top things off, Siegrist is also likely to be a top five pick in the upcoming 2023 WNBA Draft.

Fortunately, we will get to see more of Siegrist this season as she and the Wildcats will look to shake up and bring the first ever title to the women's program.
