Our Athlete Feature for today is the amazing Aliyah Boston. Boston plays the forward position as a Junior for the national champion-winning University of South Carolina women's basketball team. Boston has been a great contributing factor to the success of the Gamecocks Women's Basketball Program over the past few years. Over the span of 3 years, Boston has averaged outstanding numbers: averaging a double-double in every game, she gets around 27 points per game, 10 rebounds per game, and almost 3 blocks per game.
This past March, Boston came under the spot-light as one of the most dominant forwards in NCAA women's basketball history. She has racked up numerous accolades in her first two years as a Gamecock. Just a few include National Player of the Year (The Athletic), National Freshman of the Year (ESPN, USBWA, WBCA), 2x All-SEC First Team, 2x SEC Defensive Player of the Year, All-America First Team , SEC Tournament MVP, and SEC All-Tournament Team. She is also a 2x SEC Academic Honor Roll winner.
Boston's dominance does not seem to be slowing down as she is projected as the number 1 pick in the 2023 WNBA draft.
