What is the most important quality you look for in a recruit? 

We hope to recruit athletes with a high academic standard and high baseball IQ.

What is the best way for a recruit to get on your radar?

Attend camps and showcases [close to campus] and contact our staff indicating your attendance at these events and interest in our program.

When should an athlete contact you, what is the best way? (age, grade, time of year, email, phone, or other)

of junior year via email.

What are your expectations for incoming players in the classroom, in the weight room, and on the field?

We have high expectations for our incoming athletes in the classroom. In terms of weight room experience, we take what experience they bring in and build off of it.

What are the do's and don'ts of being recruited? 

Be short and brief with emails. Always include transcripts, your Clearinghouse number, and video.

What is the best advice you can offer a recruit?

Get out there at baseball events to be evaluated by different programs.

When do you recommend recruits put together and share their highlight reels? Is it best to make their highlight reel during the offseason, in the middle of , or after each game?

How big a factor is when recruiting players? What advice do you have for athletes regarding social media? 

Limit the amount of time and what you post on social media.
