fields always tend to be unique. The extra short artificial turf, watering systems, and different colors always tend to be a fun sight. As schools are investing more in women's sports, these facilities are getting better and better. Here is a list of seven of the best college fields in the country:

1. University of Michigan

The University of Michigan's Phyllis Ocker Field Hockey Field creates a great experience for . The field was most recently renovated in 2017 and seats 1,500. The field is also connected to the 13,000-square-foot team building with locker rooms, training facilities, and lounge areas.

2. University of North Carolina

Karen Shelton Stadium at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is by far one of the best in the country. The stadium seats 900 fans and is connected to the team building with top-notch locker rooms, training rooms, players' lounge, and coaches' offices.

3. Boston College

The Boston College Field Hockey Complex opened in 2005 and was most recently renovated in 2016. The complex seats 750 fans and creates a great environment for one of the top field hockey teams in the country.

4. Penn State

The Field Hockey Complex at Pennsylvania State University opened in 2005 and seats 750 people. The state-of-the-art artificial turf field is consistently updated and has permanent lights for night games to be played. However, at the end of the 2023 , Penn State is hoping to finish its upgrade to the complex. The upgrade will include 450 more seats, new locker rooms, a new concession area, and more. The plans for the new complex is pictured above.

5. Princeton

Bedford Field at Princeton University was completed in 2012 and includes a built-in watering system. The field holds seating for 1,200 fans and creates a great atmosphere for viewers.

6. Virginia

The University of Virginia Cavaliers installed a unique blue turf field during the summer of 2020. The blue turf allows for better visibility and is expertly engineered. This field is certainly one of the most different fields in the country and provides a super fun experience for fans.

7. Maryland

The University of Maryland recently opened a brand new field hockey and lacrosse complex. This new complex will add almost 12,000 square feet to the original complex as well as brand new locker rooms, team rooms, sports medicine rooms, and lobbies for both of the sports.
