VCU is having the worst season in program history starting 1-6. Nicole has lost the team. No Covid fifth years returned. None! What does that say. These players were starters that could have helped the team and worked on post graduate degrees. Not supporting the players on or off the field.

I read the instructions and should probably not post because I cannot keep it constructive or paintbrush. This woman needs to go. NOW! She has poisoned the program. Endangered the students with her mental games. She has poisoned a team and created a malignant environment.

Nicole flores is the absolute worst coach and human being I’ve ever had to deal with. She went mute for 4 days following a loss, Vcu gave bonnie’s their first conference win since 2017, we lost so many games, and even had a meeting about why no one wanted to be there and all of the answers were pointing toward the coaching staff, even after all of this nothing changed. She is the most selfish coach I’ve ever had. After every loss she would ask people on the sidelines why we were losing or why the same people would make the same mistakes but wouldn’t change anything up. I would cry after every single practice and game and genuinely hated every part of lacrosse because of her. She ruined my lacrosse career and it’s safe to say she should pay for mine and everyone else’s therapy.

Any positive review is definitely nicole Flores rating herself. One of the worst leaders and human beings I have ever met. Nicole should consider an occupation that doesn’t involve interacting with any people

We are back on campus. Nicole was not welcoming, same cold approach. I don’t know if she doesn’t like coaching or doesn’t like us. Either way she needs to go.

Coach Flores came into a very difficult with a team tat was gutted by the former toxic coach and put it back together .

I hate her, really, hate her. Ruined my college lacrosse experience. I played, that wasn’t the issue. She is a miserable person who made my experience miserable.

I have been in touch with the VCU staff during my recruiting process. I was encouraged to go there by both Nicole and Maggie. Now that decisions are close they will not return my calls or emails. I told my club coach and she told me they have dropped me from their recruits. What? They told me I would be great and good at VCU and the school was in my top two. I am frustrated they were not honest with me.

She is not direct, non communicative is more accurate. She ruined our team and playing experience. We are losing on the field and off. Go elsewhere!

Nicole is a no nonsense no drama professional. She is fair, direct and supportive. As she brings her own recruits to the program, as she did with previous programs like Stanford, the team will win and grow in stature and reputation.

I finally decided to speak out. Nicole ruined my college lacrosse experience. She is nasty, and vindictive. I was recruited by the previous coach and loved her. I tried! Really tried to give Nicole a chance. She is awful and do not play for her. I quit the sport I love to get away.

Absolutely horrible as a coach. While Nicole IS knowledgeable and passionate about lacrosse; neither of those traits make you a good coach. She plays mind games with players and purposefully destroys confidence. She doesn’t develop players. She is extremely selfish. Like, how does a coach not play all the seniors on Senior Day when you have a 6 goal lead with 4 minutes to go? Too concerned over winning meaningless games instead of taking care of your seniors. Talk about divisive! That display of poor leadership speaks volumes about the culture she has “fostered”. That lack of respect was noticed by every player on the sideline. Another review praised how Nicole took over a team with consistent losing records and that has continued with 2 more losing seasons. Some players are allowed to make the same mistakes every practice and every game and other players make one mistake and are benched. Add in that Nicole completely shut down and didn’t talk to anyone - assistant coaches or players or parents - for 4 days following a loss shows you how immature she is. Nicole has lost this team.

Did not speak to her team or coaching staff for 5 days after a loss. Disrespectful and immature. Not professional. Ruined every ounce of team culture VCU had.

A very vindictive coach. She plays games and splits the team. do not play for her.

St Bonnie hasn’t won an A10 game in YEARS! First VCU lost to this team EVER!

the positive comments regarding Nicole that rip the previous coach, who began the program, was loved by the players and families, respected by the coaching community and was he A10 coach of the year seem to have an agenda. Two completely different coaching styles. Multiple players were threatened when trying to enter the portal. Nicole is an adequate coach but has lost the team. Maybe when she recruits her own group they can buy into her coaching style. The problem with this program is the administration,

Disrepectful. Punitive. Plays favorites despite ability. Team not conditioned and losing basic skills. Will tell you one thing to your face but not follow through.

Nicole is very passionate about the sport and growing the sport. She not only was able to take on a team that had previously had a consistent losing record with the past coaching staff but had also had trauma from the past coaching staff. She was able to take this team her first year of coaching and positively impact the players both on the field and off the field. She is very honest and direct so you always know where you stand, she does not play mind games or favorites like other coaches.

Nicole has a lot of knowledge of the game. She is truly passionate about lacrosse, which can make her a little intense at times, but she is just trying to share her passion and knowledge to her players. Nicole is completely different from the previous coach, and I feel has provided more skills than the previous coach ever did on the field. Mental health is also a big thing nicole is adamant, allowing mental health days to any and all players if needed, which is something we did not receive before.

The worst coach I have ever had. do not play lacrosse at VCU. This lady does not care about anything but herself. Her players are miserable
