Coach Shafer has helped me through my 5 years as a Spider grow and develop despite injuries and tough chapters that I encountered in my collegiate career.

Coach Shafer has a ton of experience and really knows what he is talking about when it comes to women's basketball. He also has an excellent coaching staff behind him that go above and beyond to make sure the players have everything to make them succeed on the court and in the classroom. I know of stories that players that have struggled and the coaches have went out of their way to work extra with them to help them be the best they can be. Coach Shafer is why I chose this school.
