I think I speak for everyone when I say that I have never met someone as kindhearted and inspirational as Michael. He’s an amazing motivator and treats everyone of his athletes, current or graduated, like family. He would do anything to help his athletes, and provides us with the skills to succeed both on and off the strip.

Michael cares about our team more than anyone. He is always there when I need something, whether it be a tutor, funding, or access to our athletic department resources, he has never let me down. Mike's dedication and passion for the sport as well as Columbia Fencing is undeniable; he puts 110% effort into his team no matter what. I would not have the incredible opportunities I have at Columbia if it weren't for him, so for that I am forever grateful.
