He is good at manipulating you to go to the school but everything he says will not actually happen. If you want to get better as an athlete this is not the place to go. He is not approachable and will never listen to anything you say and does not care about the athletes whats so ever.

Coach E has a a great personality and cares about us a lot. He's very understanding and easy to talk to. However him being the only coach for sprinters, jumps, /pole vault it's hard to get that one on one attention. He is often too busy trying to coach other girls and forgets about the rest. Coach just needs some help ans I think the team will be able to benefit more. He can also be very passive aggressive at times.

Track and field for women has a tendency to be tough on the appearance of their athletes. This happened with this coach as well. This coach referred to athletes having "thick leg syndrome" & some athletes began to have negative body images of themselves. Which this resulted in obsessive weight loss and decrease in performance. Instead of checking in on athletes that this was noticeable with, he continued to push them. I believe more college coaches need to be aware of body image disorders.

Things to note: He coaches all events, so sprints, jumps, hurdles, pole vault, and high jump. This can be frustrating because he can not allocate time to every athlete and he isn't open to having multiple coaches. He is very religious so there are times when his religious beliefs interfere with his comments, which can be offensive and hurtful. He has a good attitude about training and stays positive but I would say he is a little behind on the times in regards to running/sprint workouts.

Coach E's best quality is knowing how to win a major meet. He knows how to put the right athletes in the right events and knows what they are capable of to produce winning results. However, because there is one coach and 20 plus girls to train who do several different events, it is hard to divide his time to work with you on learning technique and other specific skills related to your event.

He's a great Coach, but I definitely think he needs some help as far as hiring other coaches. Sometimes I don't think he pays enough attention to certain groups and he just has a lot on his plate and if we had help from other coaches I think it will be very beneficial.

If you are a student who aspires to be a professional athlete, this coach is not for you. He coaches the entire track and field team by himself with one throwing coach. i have known of individuals who offer to volunteer their time to coach but he kindly declines. I was often left to coach myself on many occasions. He comes off very aggressive but overall, he is a nice christian man who cares about his athletes and wants them to succeed outside of track and field.
