I played one season for this ATU Volleyball program under the direction of Kera Dukic Coleman and it was a horrible experience. I transferred after one season and in my profile page of my new school, I list my previous college as unknown because I don't want anybody to know that I played for this ATU Volleyball program. It's embarrassing. I applaud the players that tell their story of abuse in hopes to prevent other players from becoming another victim of Coach Kera. I witnessed her abuse of a player that included her telling the player that she was a LOOSER because of her social media posts. She harassed that player all season long. It was a huge distraction and an obsession of Coach Kera. Coach Kera cut that player from the program after that season and it was the Biggest Favor she could have every done for that player. My former teammate found a new school with another D2 volleyball program and they just won their conference. I can tell from her social media posts that she is loved and cared for at her new school. She is surrounded by people who believe in her and encourage her. She is not just surviving, She is THRIVING. No doubt that coaches need to push us to be better and do better but Coach Kera lacks that capability. She thinks tearing a player down, gossiping about them and making fun of them is pushing them to do better or to change. This is NOT right.

Kera, the best thing you did was tell me face-to-face that you gave up on me as a player because I am thriving here. No "petty drama," just hard work in the gym. Mentally and physically pushed, yet not torn down - that's the difference between my new environment and ATU's program. A year ago today, I gave up on myself, even contemplated not wanting to be alive. Grateful to be here, loving the sport again. Decided to finally respond because it's ignorant and disrespectful to tear down EVERYONE. Thank you Kera for giving up on me, telling me i'm not good enough to play for some shitty team that is in one of the worst conferences in D2 volleyball, talking to other players in meetings and appointments about me saying i'm not good enough to be on the court. Look at me and so many others with a similar story.

Kera Dukic Coleman is not a great role model for young women of today. Young ladies need to be supportive of each other and not manipulated by an adult like Kera who on the surface appears to be a supporter of young women but behind closed doors or behind your back, she tears girls down with her mind games and endless drama. The world is challenging enough and women need to support each other but under the direction of Kera Dukic Coleman, your daughter will be cultivated into a mean spirited and spiteful person. We have end of season meetings and all Kera does is talk trash about other players with other players. It's so unprofessional and just an absolute horrible experience. I am very uncomfortable when Kera talks badly about one of my teammates. I don't know how to respond. I want to say how uncomfortable I am when she talks about other players and ask her to stop. I wich the AD would be required to sit in on these end of season meetings. Maybe if someone was overseeing these meetings, they would be more professional and not veer off into gossip and drama.

In college athletics you talk about owning up and taking responsibility. but we have a coach deflecting and using this as her reason as to why she didn’t have a good season this year. how many more season are going to go by of you (Kera) blaming past players for why you continue to have losing seasons.

Watched her coach for awhile and is a great coach and person

ATU & Abby Davis never did anything to hold her actions accountable. Kera can’t own up to her DUI. She sweeps it under the rug and acts like it doesn’t exist. Anytime someone brings it up she gets belligerent. Thank god these girls only have a few weeks left of this embarrassment.

I am a pretty strong headed player that can put up with a lot but one thing that stuck with me that Coach Kera did that was completely uncalled for was keeping players in the bus after a game. We had lost to Harding and went to subway after. She preceded to make everyone get off the bus except for three players. She even made the assistant get off. She asked these girls who she should keep on the team and who she should kick off. She also asked who she could trust or not. How inappropriate right? The players she said she was kicking off or couldn’t trust are all players that thankfully are not with her cultish program anymore but one player is still on that team currently. She said one player was a mean girl, a bully, how she was uncoachable, and she was kicking her off. Thankfully the one girl talked coach into not doing that. The rest of the players, the assistant coach, and the trainer all waited in subway for over 45 minutes. The subway workers were upset because they were closed and we had to stay in there because she wouldn’t let anyone listen to her convo on the bus. Don’t believe this review? There was a recording of the whole convo. Thankfully one of the girls recorded the whole conversation and a handful of us players heard everything. I wanted to keep this to myself but after seeing review after review and seeing poor players that are still with her program even after she dogged them to other teammates I had to speak up. It’s such a sad situation. Kera is gonna tell you none of this happened. Ur reach out. A lot of us players that are not with the program have a lot of things documented such as voice recordings and videos. A group of us are currently gathering all info to send to the GAC committee since, Abby Davis does not want to hold this individual accountable for their poor actions.

I find It very funny Kera “claims” she is in the loop with social media and knows all the ins and outs. But Is is not smart enough to know that we can see when she stalks our social media pages on her personal and burner accounts as well. My first question is who paying for her “SportsRecruits” account? I’m going to guess the school. Well in that case, why is she aloud to use the schools time and money to view players that are no longer with her program. She has not only viewed their accounts not once but numerous times. She has viewed mine and a few other of my former teammates profiles a handful of times in just the past few weeks. Kera how about you use your time to actually get some recruiting done instead of STALKING our pages like a creep. We don’t need another repeat like last season lol. My other issue is she has been attempting to stalk our other social media pages numerous times. We could give two shits about your program and what you are doing. Please do the same and move on. Or at-least get up to date on how social media works ;)

Kera needs an update on how to coach. She likes to belittle you in games and practices. I remember a game against harding she pulled a player out and screamed at her for jumping with the setter and we had lost the point. Kera then called a time out and yelled/cussed her out in front of the whole team. That player then went back in the game crying. It’s okay to be corrected as player however to cuss them out and tell them how stupid they were is not appropriate or acceptable in any way. Not only that but she would also threaten to kick players out of practice or games multiple times as if that’s going to motivate us. I believe kera needs to go to a coaching camp and take some notes on how to keep players instead of being a bully and running girls off. It’s a sad, miserable, toxic environment all because of the head coach who needs help herself. Don’t listen to her media post of how wonderful and grateful she is because its all just a sham, just like how it would be if you came on a visit and she promises you all this money and playing time. It’s just another way to manipulate people for playing there.

Kera Dukic is using the Arkansas Tech Volleyball page via Instagram and Twitter to follow personal pages. She follows past players she has either let go or has transferred to stalk and see what they are up to. She follows personal Instagram accounts that have little to no personal connection to the program. It's just chaotic. Kera go follow these accounts on your personal Instagram, why are you following these accounts on ATU volleyball? This is a poor look for the program and it just proves my point further that you use Arkansas Tech's social media accounts as a personal account for you. That is not how college team socials should be used. Also, how come you follow athletes on your Twitter but won't let anyone follow you on your personal Instagram? Sounds shady and a double standard if you ask me.

It’s a New Year & we need a NEW volleyball coach going into 2023. Someone who is qualified and knows what leadership skills are needed. The team will be heading back soon. To a life full of hell this spring season. She makes them do rigorous training that SHE controls. She tells the team they are the most in shape. Well Kera if we are the most in shape? Why do we still lose to these other teams. I mean look at her? Would you take training advice from her? Ugh I cant with this mess, and the cycle will just continue…

After exit meetings this season Coach Kera had a meeting with all of the current team members about spring. In this meeting she talked about the girls that entered the transfer portal or that she “released”. She lied to the girls that she kicked one girl off but in reality the player left on her own terms. The others she said she had to let go of. She said it wasn’t an easy decision. She then goes to say she has never kicked girls off at all throughout her whole coaching career. After, she makes a reference, “The future is so bright for us golden suns”. My response to that is, you’re absolutely right kera. Your 8-22 record really reflects that right? Like they always say “ it’s only up from here when you’re literally at absolute rock bottom.” You’re ridiculous and pathetic. I just laugh at you and how to approach coaching. You are the absolute WORST coach I have ever seen. And your 24% approval rate on here reflects it pretty accurately. Time is ticking coach, it is only a matter of a few more seasons of 8-22 records until you are kicked to the curb. And the day that comes will be the absolute best day of my life. :)

#1 coming at the girls saying mommy and daddy spoon feed the girls who were mentally and emotionally abused by this woman. It’s sad because your daddy was all up on this trying to get involved as well, so guess you must be spoon fed as well. Along crying for a Lib jersey because it’s ur senior year. What a joke. Maybe you should play better instead of crying for a spot. My experience playing for kera was a wreck and these reviews prove how this coach treats people. Kera’s goal is not to succeed, it’s to control and manipulate as many girls as she can. Once she realizes she can’t control that player she “ releases“ them and says she wishes them nothing but the best but yet gossips about them in her meetings, at team dinners and at practices. This is a depressing sad program especially when we are forced to lie about community service hours so kera looks perfect to the community. This school has so much potential and it’s sad to see it be wasted, these girls have so much potential and all they need is a leader who inspire players to be a good person on and off the court. Clearly that’s not happening.

Slighted and jealous? People are aloud to share their experiences here. Of course complete lies is one thing. But people are aloud to have a negative opinion about a coach that has had multiple ncaa violations. Shamed girls and so forth. You don’t see the behind the scenes

one review to over shadow the other reviews? I vividly remember when things don’t go your way you through a fit and complained about it. Whether that be about Kera or your own teammates. You called a player disabled, you talked about me multiple times and others on the team, when you got pulled from games you talked poorly about people that went in for you. Your pathetic. Defending a coach that wanted to kick you off during the season. She called your weak minded and a bully. People reading this, don’t believe me? Ask not only people that played last year and left but, you can also ask current teammates on the team with this group. They were bullies. People voiced their concerns to this coach MULTIPLE times. And this coach sat back in silence. Oh and by the way. You want to talk about mommy & daddy and being kicked off? Didn’t you get kicked off? Didn’t your “mommy and daddy” get involved with your volleyball experiences? Cause that’s what I heard from others. Your pathetic, your just content your playing. The second you don’t play next season get back on here and make a review about your update with this place. Your ridiculous and sold out.

I would like to say it is very frustrating that coach is making us lift all the way to Thanksgiving. People have had to move flights to come back early so they don’t miss weights. Coach doesn’t understand that some of us have not seen our family in months and the holidays are really important to us. We also have exams and packing that we have to think about as well. Reading day is also very frustrating. That is a mandatory off day for us students. I just wish coach would be alittle more considerate with us. Some of us have come to her about things and she either shuts us down or does not make herself approachable. I’m not for all of these reviews. But I have taken it to here to state my concern because, every time I try to go to her it never gets solved. She listens to these reviews more than her current girls that have given everything to her. I just cant wait to be home for the month with family and get away from Kera Dukic and her drama.

This ATU Volleyball Program is EMBARRASSING --- WTH? Why would anybody want to go to ATU and play Volleyball for this Kera Dukic? MENTAL issues HEY ATU - why don't you get a professional - someone with an MD behind their name to evaluate Kera Dukic? Please get some HELP!

My daughter decided to transfer from this program after one year because of all the drama that Coach Kera starts and continues to cultivate with these athletes. Even after my daughter entered the NCAA transfer portal, this Coach Kera continues to text and call both my daughter and myself and we do no respond. Since it appears that Coach Kera reads these reviews daily, please STOP trying to contact us. We have nothing to say to you. Your persistent texing is starting to feel like harrassment. PLEASE stop contacting. For the sake of the ATU Volleyball athletes, I do wish that you seek some projessional HELP. I am very concerned about the mental well being of everyone associated with this program - including you - Coach Kera.

Where to start. Coach Kera only cares about herself and her needs. I hated playing for this program because I was abused by this women mentally and emotionally everyday being called a loser and stupid. Being kicked off the court when she wouldn’t explain what I was doing or even COACH me on what I was doing wrong. This women should not be around young women. She makes promise she can’t keep and then can’t take responsibility or apologize or lying. 99% of girls in the program have hated it because kera is toxic.

Coach Kera has done some good things for some players. Yes. But does that warrant all the other things? For example, having meetings with players talking about other players, watching film 2 hours before a game, instead of coaching the 6 players on the court she is worried about what her “bench” is doing, and threatens to send them to the locker room. These are all attributes you can see even on the outside looking in. Watch the games, listen closely to how her mannerisms are throughout the game compared to the other coach. You can hear her threaten and cuss out the girls on the bench, and threatening to send them to the locker room. When is that okay? When is that warranted? Yes, she has done some great things for some players but let’s not let that take away from the thousand of other things she has done. And instead of asking her for parents and players to reach for with questions. Just look at the roster and reach out to handful of girls in seasons past.

People have come forward about their experiences with this coach. Just because, you had a positive experience with her does not mean the rest of everyone has.

If you are a recruit don’t bother coming to tech, she has shared with multiple players that she WILL NOT recruit out of the state of AR since they always get homesick and she is just sick of it. This is what she tells Abby Davis the AD when she has players constantly leaving. (They didn’t leave from being homesick, it’s a toxic environment) please be careful.

If you are a the type of player or person who thinks the rules don’t apply to you cause you are just that good or you are the type of person that is better than everyone else then coach Kera is not for you. If you are used to getting your way always and mommy and daddy have taken care of everything for you then no you won’t like tech. But if you are interested in someone who truly cares about others who ever they may be and treats people with respect then this would be a good fit. Coach Kera is extremely competitive but along with her competitiveness she is truly a caring person. She is not the type of coach that holds back from trying to teach you how to improve your game, she cares about your academics and who you are on and off the court. She wants you to be the best you can be.

Kera is as incredible coach, the best I know. Yes, she holds you to a high standard, but with the thought that life is hard and is also going to hold you accountable. You wont be able to transfer, or anonymously complain. Sure, it may have worked in your favor this time. College and volleyball end at some point. KERA- keep doing what you're doing. Those who truly know you, have been around you for any length of time, know that you have a heart of gold and you care about your players.
