I had the pleasure of being coached by Coach Blackburn all my four year at Methodist. There aren't enough positive things I could say about this man. He continuously put the teams wants and needs above his own, he always let us have a say in practices, warm-ups, and even the conditioning drills we did. I have never met someone more dedicated to the concerns, thoughts, and feelings of his players. He was always accommodating when it came to class and academic conflicts, and genuinely had a personal interest in the well-being of all of his players. His knowledge extended far beyond the tennis court and he was an amazing mentor. I was lucky to have crossed paths with such an amazing coach.
