Coach created an incredible team atmosphere when I was a member of his team at Monmouth and cared deeply about every athlete, not just the best ones as many coaches do. He believed in everyone and speaking for our team, many of us would go through a wall for him. He was also very understanding of the trials and tribulations of being a college student and is still someone I can reach out to for life advice.

Compagni was a great coach who you could tell sincerely cared about every single person on the team. the only negative comments are that he wasn’t as motivational as i felt a head coach to be. he seemed a little too nice and didn’t get me amped up ready to compete. other than that he is a fantastic person and would still help you even after you graduate

Coach Joe is very a knowledgeable coach in the running world. He was not my event coach so I can't give a fair judgment of direct coaching but overall he keeps the team together.

Coach Joe is a very organized Coach. I think he does a great job at networking, building the brand, and keeping all parts of the machine well oiled. As an athlete, it's easy to become hyper-focused on "coaching" but since graduating, I've realized he was the thread that meshed all of our fabrics together.

Coach Joe is a wonderful coach. He genuinely cares about his athletes and wants nothing but the best for all of them. He's pretty understanding and patient too.

Great coach who gives hard workers an opportunity to succeed. His willingness to accept walk-ons has created a hard working culture. Uses merit-based scholarships as incentives to improve. All around a fair coach who cares a great deal about his athletes.

Coach Joe is a great guy and really cares about his athletes. Not motivational and isn't a leader like a HC should be. Strong D1 team should be going to strong D1 meets; quite the opposite. Never having money for travel meets/ $20 per day for food is a joke.

Coach Joe was a great head coach. He never really had that fire about him that I look for in a leader, but delegated tasks very well. Also, agree upon handling of budget.

Coach Compagni is a good coach and treats everyone fairly no matter their race times. He's nice, but sometimes too nice and isn't as aggressive/motivating as I'd like. Also I found the workouts to be not as challenging as I'd like.

Coach Joe knows what he's talking about when it comes to dealing with a team, however when it comes to motivation & being direct with his athletes, he doesn't really understand how to be either. Can be frustrating when it comes to Conference Championship meets when a lot of athletes like to get fired up.

Coach Joe is a very patient coach. He is very knowledgable about track and is very helpful and a great coach. Workouts are tough and challenging, and will pay off in long run.
