George Petrie seems to know basically nothing about golf. If there was a time he was to talk to you it seemed as if he was just reprimanding you on something you have done wrong. His way about the team and his overall composure has led the players to disrespect him. I have heard on many occasions that players have quit the team due to his actions.

George Petrie has absolutely no business being a golf coach. He lacks golf knowledge and his poor leadership has led the most talented team in the conference to underperform on a regular basis. His temperament and antics make playing for him a nightmare, and as a result, many have lost the desire to play. His retirement is long overdue.

I compare Coach Petrie to the captain of the titanic, he sees the iceberg and decides to drive full force into it. With every season much like the titanic the team plunges and falters. He has made a career of coaching mediocre teams and holding back potential.

George Petrie single-handedly ruined my desire to play the game of basketball. He was unfair, discourteous, and hot-headed. I questioned his knowledge of the game from the first day of practice of my freshman year. He treated his players as nothing more than pawns who's sole purpose is to play basketball. Our academic interests and personal lives seemed meaningless to him. My recruiting class consisted of 10 players, currently, only 2 remain on the team as juniors.
